10 Steps To Protect Your Focus As A Real Estate Agent or small business owner

1. Eliminate distractions

Get off social media. Stop the scroll. It’s bad for your neck and social demeana. Fastest way to becoming a nuffty.

Do this for 4 hours a day! Freedom and clarity beckons.

2. Reduce multitasking

Do one thing at a time and finish it. This will eliminate:
* poor concentration
* less productivity

3. Practice mindfullness and or meditation

Here’s what I do:
* do this at any time of the day
* practice for 10 – 20 minutes
* make up a word eg carmuncha, karbooma
* close your eyes, sit comfortably and repeat the word over and over

4. Get more sleep

Turn off the white light before sleeping – phones, iPads etc

5. Be present in the moment

If you are having a conversation with staff, be present. Focus on them. Stop looking past them.

6. Take breaks

* go for a walk
* stop writing after 25 minutes for 5 minutes
* have a coffee/tea after 90 minutes of focused effort. Do once a day

7. Connect with nature

* walk in a park or forest
* sit on the beach
* have lunch by the river

8. Train your brain

Do a crossword occassionally. Take up a new language

9. Exercise daily

It doesn’t have to be strenuous. A brisk walk – 10 – 30 minutes.

Have a swim

10. Eat well

* Cut out the sugars. Reduce your risk of becoming a type 2 diabetic
* Cut back on processed foods
* Eat clean – plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables
* Eat good protein

Do the above and you’ll dramatically improve your focus – and your business.

It sounds like you are taking a lot of time away from work. This might make you anxious.

But believe me from my own personal experience, I get a lot more done in focused sprints totally 4 hours a day than most will in a week!
